Lead the delivery of civil engineering design for mining and power projects, from concept through detailed design and construction support Serve as Technical Lead and/or Engineer of Record (EOR) on selected mandates Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings and technical specifications Oversee the design of site infrastructure, including earthworks, drainage, water management systems, haul roads and mine-related facilities Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges Ensure technical quality, compliance with codes and standards, and constructability of deliverables Manage projects (scope, budget, schedule) and lead coordination with clients, contractors and stakeholders Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, scope definition, cost estimation and client presentations Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities to grow services in the mining and power sectors Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team development Do your qualities and values match our corporate culture? (EGBC) or eligible for registration in British Columbia Over 20 years of experience in civil engineering, with strong exposure to mining projects Proven experience in design of civil infrastructure (earthworks, water management, drainage, roads) Experience serving as Technical Lead, Project Engineer or EOR on complex projects Strong understanding of Canadian codes, standards and regulatory frameworks Demonstrated experience in project management and multidisciplinary coordination Proven client engagement and business development experience Proficiency with civil design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D; others are assets) Willingness to support both office-based work and field/site assignments Asset: experience with dam safety, tailings, hydraulic structures or hydro-related infrastructure An Overview Of BBA’s Total Rewards Annual base salary from $147,500 to $180,300 (for British Columbia) Annual premium program for regular employees Onsite mobility premium Time bank Cellphone fee reimbursements Group insurance plan from the first day of employment, including disability insurance and a telemedicine program Retirement savings plan Annual vacation and sick leave Premium for employee referrals BBA considers many factors when determining the annual base salary, including location, market, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications and other relevant skills. The Senior Civil Engineer will lead the delivery of civil engineering design for mining and power projects, overseeing the design of site infrastructure and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. They will also manage projects, support business development activities, and provide technical leadership to junior engineers.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and be eligible for registration in British Columbia, along with over 20 years of experience in civil engineering. Proven experience in project management, client engagement, and proficiency with civil design tools is also required.
