Please indicate in your cover letter which position you are applying for:Position 1: Grade 1 Homeroom TeachersStart Date: September 1, 2026Position 2: Grade 2 Homeroom TeacherStart Date: September 1, 2026Position 3: Grade 3 Homeroom TeacherStart Date: September 1, 2026Start Date: September 1, 2026 - This teacher will be provided with training to become an IB certified teacher.Salary: $6600 per month (10 month fixed length contract)*Only offered to CoQ teachers or teachers who have a completed application withthe Teacher Certification Branch for a CoQ. Subject Restricted (Independent School Certified) Teachers are invited to apply.**Teaching experience in Canada is recognized for a possible higher startingsalary for CoQ teachersQualification Requirements:Valid Teaching Certification in BC (Teaching certificates in other Canadian provinces and territories are acceptable as long as an application has been completed for a BC Teaching Certificate)You must be eligible to be employed in Canada. Special attention will be given to applicants who are certified to or can be certified to teach in British Columbia.Preferrable: Teaching experience within CanadaAbility to work full timeDemonstrated knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of instructional specialty requiredAbility to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives including the needs and abilities of students requiredAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents requiredExcellent communication skills, both oral and written requiredKhalsa School is a Sikh school and a part of the student’s education at our schoolsincludes education in the Sikh Faith (Sikh music, history, scriptures). However,These subjects are taught by our religious department and staff. Successfulapplicants will only be required to teach the BC Curriculum in English.Teaching experience at our fine institution is recognized by BC public school districts.
