Join the BC Muslim School (BCMS) Team BC Muslim School (BCMS) is seeking a passionate, energetic, and qualified Female Physical Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement Physical Education lesson plans aligned with the BC Curriculum. • Provide instruction in a variety of physical activities, sports, and fitness programs. • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students. • Assess student learning and physical development and provide regular feedback. • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessment, and progress. • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success and school initiatives. • Organize and supervise school sports teams, tournaments, and extracurricular athletic activities. • Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and healthy living habits. • Uphold school policies and contribute positively to the school community. Qualifications • Bachelor of Education degree from a recognized Canadian university. • Valid BC Teaching Certificate or a valid teaching certificate from a Canadian province (or proof of eligibility/in process). • Specialization or experience in Physical Education is preferred. • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. • Knowledge of the BC Curriculum. • Experience teaching middle school students is an asset. • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team. • Respect for Islamic values, culture, and the school's mission. Required Documents • Valid BC Teaching Certificate or proof of certification eligibility. • Recent Criminal Record Check. • Official undergraduate and/or graduate transcripts. • Teaching evaluations (for experienced teachers). • Two professional reference letters.
