Ministry of Forests Mackenzie, BC (Hybrid) Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work one (1) or more days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement. Engineering Program Specialist $80,703.86 - $91,936.08 annually; plus $44.49 bi-weekly Isolation Allowance for Mackenzie The Mackenzie Forest District Engineering Team is a small, established unit dedicated to maintaining safe road access for four remote communities in northern B.C. This two-person team works independently and collaboratively, engaging with First Nations, forest licensees, and industry partners to deliver practical, inclusive solutions within budget. This Engineering Program Specialist role is all about maintaining safe, reliable forest service Roads and infrastructure across one of B.C.’s largest Timber Supply Areas. Your work will directly support access to four remote communities, making a real difference in people’s lives. Qualifications for this role include: Master’s degree in forest technology or a related field (i.e., chemical, metallurgical, forest engineering, survey geomatics, geoscience) as recognized by the Association of BC Forest Professionals and 1 year of related experience, or Bachelor’s degree in forest technology or a related field (i.e., chemical, metallurgical, forest engineering, survey geomatics, geoscience) as recognized by the Association of BC Forest Professionals and 2 years of related experience, or Diploma in forest technology or a related field (i.e., chemical, metallurgical, forest engineering, survey geomatics, geoscience) as recognized by the Association of BC Forest Professionals and 3 years related experience, or An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Registered, or immediately eligible for registration (within six months of employment), with the Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC) as a Registered Forest Technologist (RFT). Related Experience may include Experience related to work unit or program area. Experience in contract and/or project supervision. Requirements

Requires a degree or diploma in forest technology or a related engineering field combined with 1-3 years of related experience. Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) with Forest Professionals British Columbia.
