Job summary
Please read first. This is not a salaried or hourly position. It's an independent practice affiliation. You practise here as our affiliate occupational therapist, with your own practice named alongside, and you keep your own COTO registration, your own clinical judgment, and your own clients. We provide the space, platform, administration, billing, and network around your practice. Affiliates pay a flat monthly membership fee plus a uniform share of billings processed through BTG. We go through the full commercial terms with applicants directly. About Beaches Therapy Group Beaches Therapy Group is a heart-led, multidisciplinary mental health practice providing inclusive, evidence-based care in Toronto and virtually across Ontario. With over 50 clinicians across locations in The Beaches, Leslieville, Midtown, and online, the team supports individuals, couples, children, teens, and families through challenges such as anxiety, trauma, identity, relationships, and burnout. The practice combines clinical expertise with a warm, human-centered approach, aiming to make therapy feel safe, responsive, and personalized rather than cold or one-size-fits-all. Clinicians draw from modalities including CBT, ACT, EMDR, EFT, somatic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, with a strong commitment to trauma-informed, 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, and culturally responsive care. At its core, Beaches Therapy Group is guided by the belief that healing happens through connection, growth is lifelong, and everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported. About the Allied Health Affiliate Program We kept meeting excellent independent practitioners doing all of it themselves. The lease, the booking, the billing, the privacy compliance, the website, the marketing. Skilled clinicians spending their evenings on administration instead of on the work they trained for. The Allied Health Affiliate Program exists to solve that. Your practice stays yours. You keep your name, your clinical judgment, your regulatory scope, and your clients. What changes is the infrastructure around it, and the fact that you're now working under an established Toronto name rather than building recognition entirely on your own. This is an affiliation, not a partnership. There's no shared ownership. How you'll be presented You practise here as a Beaches Therapy Group affiliate occupational therapist, with your own practice named alongside. On our website, in our marketing, and on your profile, it reads like this example: Beaches Therapy Group Affiliate Occupational Therapist Priya Raman, OT Reg. (Ont.), Northshore Occupational Therapy Clients get the reassurance of an established multidisciplinary practice, and your own practice name travels with you the whole time. You add "Beaches Therapy Group Affiliate" to your own website and materials, and we use a consistent format across all affiliates. Your practice name stays yours throughout. If you leave, you leave with it, along with your clients. What's included Clinic space. A comfortably furnished room at a BTG clinic, with front-desk reception during business hours. Fully virtual options are also available if most of your work happens in the community. Practice platform. Jane for booking, charting, telehealth, and records. Billing and payment processing. Fully handled, including insurer direct billing where your clients' plans allow it. Administrative support. Onboarding, intake, scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders. Profile on our site. Your own profile page on beachestherapy.ca, presented as a BTG affiliate occupational therapist with your practice named alongside. You keep your own website as well. Marketing and visibility. We promote you by name through our client newsletter and social channels. Health Information Custodian. BTG acts as HIC under PHIPA for records created here, maintaining the clinical record and carrying privacy training, consent, access requests, breach response, retention and destruction. Records from your practice before affiliation stay yours. Interdisciplinary peer consult. An optional monthly gathering where practitioners share cases and connect. Voluntary, and not clinical supervision. Workshops, events, and group programs. Bring your idea and we'll help you organize and promote it. Why an OT, and why here Our clinical core is psychotherapy and psychological assessment, and occupational therapy is the piece we keep reaching for and not having. We assess clients for ADHD and learning differences, then hand them a report and a therapist, when what many of them need next is someone who works on executive function, routines, and how the day actually runs. We see adults whose anxiety or depression has quietly collapsed their functioning at home and at work. We see clients managing chronic pain or fatigue who need pacing and activity strategy rather than another conversation about coping. We see people trying to get back to work after a mental health leave. All of that is OT work, and we currently refer it out. For you, that means a steady source of clients who are already engaged in care, colleagues who understand what OT actually does, and collaborative work as the normal way of practising rather than something you have to build yourself. If your focus is mental health, ADHD and executive function, return to work, or chronic pain and fatigue, that sits closely with how our clinicians practise. We're open to other focuses too, so tell us what you do. Requirements Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, in good standing. Your own professional liability insurance meeting BTG's minimum coverage requirements, confirmed at onboarding. An established caseload, or a clearly defined service offering you're ready to build on. This is an ecosystem to grow inside. It isn't a client-acquisition service. A practice approach compatible with integrative wellness and an emphasis on mental health. Terms In-clinic participation is available at a range of weekly commitment levels, with virtual options for practitioners who don't need a physical footprint. Your initial commitment is a six-month term, with no long-term lock-in after that. Referrals within our network are made on clinical judgment and clinical fit alone. Referral volume isn't guaranteed, and referrals are never charged for in either direction. How to apply Apply through LinkedIn or reach out directly. We'll set up a conversation to walk through the program, the tiers, and the commercial terms, and to work out whether it's a fit in both directions.
