Databricks Solution Architect-Financial Risk/Regulatory

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Databricks Solution Architect-Financial Risk/Regulatory. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing modern data and analytics solutions to replace legacy systems, primarily focusing on migrating Datawarehouse to Azure Databricks Lakehouse architecture. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence critical risk infrastructure and collaborate across diverse teams within a leading financial institution. Responsibilities Lead solution architecture and technical design for enterprise risk modernization projects. Design scalable data and analytics solutions utilizing Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and related cloud technologies. Collaborate with teams across Business, Risk, Finance, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Audit to ensure compliance and high-quality delivery. Support migration from legacy platforms such as SAS and Oracle to a modern cloud-based data platform. Define and enforce architecture standards, security protocols, data governance, and integration patterns. Provide technical leadership, review solution designs, mentor development teams, and support solutions through production deployment. Desired Skill-Set 8+ years of experience designing enterprise data or analytics solutions. Minimum of 3 years as a Solution or Domain Architect. Proven expertise in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, and Python/PySpark. Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, Managed Identities, and Azure Key Vault. Experience delivering enterprise data platforms within the financial services industry. Understanding of data governance, model governance, and regulatory frameworks like IFRS 9, CECL, BCBS 239. Experience with Financial Risk or Credit Risk domains. Ability to create solution architecture documentation and work effectively with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Audit stakeholders. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Nice to Have Relevant IAM Certifications. Experience designing Azure-based data solutions. Familiarity with common challenges faced during cloud migrations. Examples of solutions designed using Azure technologies. Experience working through complex regulatory and compliance requirements.
