As a **Compensation and Benefits Technician**, you will play an essential role in payroll accuracy, employee records management, and benefits administration. This opportunity could be your next professional challenge!** **Main Responsibilities:** \- Process payroll in its entirety for a group of approximately 350 employees while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and internal procedures; \- Monitor employee records, payroll transactions, vacations, leaves, absences, statutory holidays, and various benefits; \- Prepare payroll deductions and participate in year-end activities (T4 slips, tax forms, annual filings, etc.); \- Administer employee benefit programs, including group insurance and pension plans; \- Manage employee leave files, including unpaid leave, disability claims, parental leave, workplace injury claims, and retirements; \- Update and maintain employee information within HR and payroll management systems; \- Serve as a resource person for employees and managers regarding compensation, benefits, and attendance-related inquiries; \- Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and proper flow of information; \- Participate, as needed, in fiscal year-end activities; \- Perform any other related duties as required. **Benefits of This Position:** \- Stable 35-hour work week; \- Defined benefit pension plan and group insurance coverage; \- Competitive leave policy, including: - 4 weeks of vacation after one year of service; - 10 sick days per year; - 13 statutory holidays per year; \- Hybrid work arrangement available; \- Initiatives that support work-life balance; \- Professional development and training opportunities. **Requirements:** \- College diploma (DEC) in Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field; \- More than five years of relevant experience in payroll processing, compensation, or benefits administration; \- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and regulations; \- Excellent command of written and spoken French; \- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and Word; \- Comfortable using payroll and human resources management systems; \- Strong communication, organizational, and employee service skills; \- High level of accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail when handling confidential information; \- Experience with an HR and payroll management software system (asset). **Salary:** $60,000 per year, based on experience. **Schedule:** Day shift, Monday to Friday. **Status:** Permanent.
