Behind every dish is a team of cooks working with fresh ingredients, local products and carefully developed recipes, all with the same commitment to quality day after day. To continue this tradition, our client is looking for an experienced cook who takes as much pride in preparing a quality product as in knowing that it will become part of someone’s meal just a few hours later. **The tasks include:** - Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, sauces, side dishes and homemade recipes for the ready-to-eat counter. - Follow established recipes and quality standards. - Prepare ingredients, including cutting vegetables, preparing sauces, seasonings and garnishes. - Cook meats, fish, vegetables and other food preparations. - Contribute to the development and improvement of house-made products. - Check the quality, freshness and proper rotation of ingredients. - Monitor food inventory and report replenishment needs. - Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment. - Follow food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards at all times. - Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients and raw materials. - Perform any other related duties. **The benefits of this position?** - Comprehensive group insurance after 3 months of service. - Free meals during your shift. - 20% discount on products. - Supportive managers and a friendly, team-oriented work environment. - Be part of a proudly Quebec-based company that showcases local products. - Free parking or a discount on your public transit pass. **Requirements:** - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cook. - Experience in prepared foods, food production or restaurant kitchens. - Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. - Strong organizational skills and attention to food quality. - Ability to maintain a steady production pace. Salary: $23 to $26 per hour, depending on experience. Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. Status: Permanent.
