Job Title: Senior Project Manager Permanent position Location: Calgary, AB Salary: 115k-125k Postal code: T5S Area Code: 403,587,368, Keywords: #project.manager #calgary.jobs #project.management.jobs Key Accountabilities : Drive project management processes ; coach and mentor Project Managers and Coordinators (Project/Sales) in the use of people, tools and project management accepted practices, planning, controlling, reporting and recovering proje cts● Maintain constant communication with Sales in order to plan future resources for project execution as well as regular interaction with Engineering and Service to contribute in the decision making process for scheduling of resources and priorit ies● Receive, review and assign projects and retail orders from Sales to the members of project management group taking in consideration the work load and complexity of the proje cts● Develop, maintain and manage production and drawing schedules, inspection and test plans and progress reports in a professional project management for mat● Provide specific packaging / fabrication and testing instructions to the service department and continue to coordinate including shop testing and site commission ing● Manage the procurement of equipment and materials including performing quality assurance inspections and maintaining reco rds● Supervise and participate in the execution of monthly project profitability reporting including actively participating in internal reviews and presenting final reports to senior managem ent● Support in the completion of yearly performance appraisals, setting up objectives and proposing compensation as well as providing coaching and mentoring to the team on anongoing ba sis● Propose and chair internal project review meetings with customers, vendors or internal contributors and stakeholders including participation in handover and kick off meetings and leading regular production meetings for coordination with Service departm ent● Provide direct management, participation and support to PM, PC and SC at any stage of the project and in dealing with critical project matters like legal or commercial issues, technical discrepancies, major delays and recovery plans, etc. Lead the decision making proce ss. ● Leadership / Supervision: Supervise a small work group providing daily work dire ction Required Qualific ationsEducation: University Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an assetWork Experience: 10 yearsKnowledge: Experience in Project Management" medium to large size commissioning project ex posure Key Comp etencies Communication: Expresses and transmits information with consistency and clarity, using active listening techniques in order to effectively understand provided feedback, and summarizes information according to the audienceService Orientation - Provides superior service to both internal and external c ustomers.Problem Solving: Has the ability to break a situation into smaller pieces to identify key issues, cause and effect relationships. The role involves driving project management processes, overseeing resource scheduling, and managing the procurement and execution of medium to large commissioning projects. The manager is also responsible for coaching project staff and presenting profitability reports to senior management.

Candidates must have a university degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of project management experience. A PMP designation is considered an asset.
