About

Everyone deserves the opportunity to live independently, make their own choices, and feel connected to their community. Bellwoods Centres for Community Living is a Toronto charitable, not-for-profit organization supporting people with physical disabilities through accessible housing, personal support, and community-based services. We work alongside the people we support, respecting their goals, preferences, and decisions about everyday life. Our services include: • Supportive Housing: Accessible apartments with personal support services that help people live independently. • Attendant Outreach: Personal support with daily living activities, delivered in people’s homes across Toronto. • Reintegration Care Units: Short-term support to help people return to community living following hospitalization, illness, or injury. • Independent Living Supports: Assistance with planning, building life skills, and navigating community services. • Housing with Supports: Individual support for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, including those preparing to move from hospital into housing. For nearly 70 years, Bellwoods has worked with clients, families, healthcare providers, and community partners to make independent living more attainable. We are accredited with Exemplary Standing by Accreditation Canada.
