Betrayal Care is a Canadian mental health practice focused exclusively on betrayal trauma and infidelity recovery. Our registered therapists work with individuals and couples across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario, virtually and in person. Most therapy treats infidelity as a relationship problem. We approach it as a trauma event. When trust collapses, the nervous system shifts into survival mode, and a betrayed partner may be left with hypervigilance, intrusive thoughts, disrupted sleep, and a fractured sense of reality. Standard couples work that moves quickly into communication skills often leaves that partner feeling unseen and pressured toward reconciliation before they're ready. Our approach begins by stabilizing the betrayed partner. From there, we assess what's safe and what's needed before addressing the relationship itself. If rebuilding is the goal, we structure that work. When moving forward separately is the healthier path, we support that too. We don't take sides.
