Contract: October 12, 2026 – September 30, 2027 Submission Deadline: September 18, 2026 We are seeking an Intermediate Communications Specialist to provide professional communications support for a public-sector Court Technology Services organization in Edmonton. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, project teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to develop clear, timely, and engaging communications supporting organizational change, executive messaging, employee engagement, technology initiatives, and strategic priorities. This role is ideal for a communications professional who can translate complex business and technical information into concise, audience-appropriate communications and develop polished materials for both leadership and employee audiences. Key Responsibilities Develop executive communications, including branch updates, organizational announcements, leadership messages, and employee communications. Prepare monthly branch communications in collaboration with senior leadership. Develop communication strategies and plans to support organizational transformation and technology initiatives. Create professional communication materials including presentations, executive briefing notes, speaking notes, newsletters, FAQs, infographics, and other visual content. Support branding and visual identity for initiatives while maintaining consistency across communication materials. Translate complex business and technical information into clear, concise, plain-language communications. Support organizational change initiatives through employee engagement and change communications. Review, edit, and quality-assure communications prepared by project teams and leadership. Review operational communications such as service outage and maintenance notifications and recommend improvements to clarity, consistency, effectiveness, and customer experience. Develop standardized communication templates, processes, and guidance for operational and executive communications. Collaborate with executives, managers, subject matter experts, and project teams to gather information and develop communication materials. Develop presentations and supporting materials for executive meetings, leadership forums, town halls, and stakeholder engagement sessions. Provide communications advice and recommendations to leadership on messaging, stakeholder engagement, and communication approaches. Ensure communications align with applicable public-sector communication standards, visual identity requirements, and plain-language principles.
