Role Description The Drywall Finisher is a full-time, on-site role based in Dartmouth, NS. Responsibilities include preparing drywall surfaces, applying tape, mud, and compound, and sanding to achieve smooth, ready-to-paint finishes. The role involves repairing and patching drywall, inspecting work for quality and adherence to building codes, and coordinating with framers, carpenters, and other trades to maintain project timelines. The Drywall Finisher will use appropriate tools and materials safely, follow site safety protocols, and assist with layout, minor framing adjustments, and cleanup of work areas as needed. Qualifications Ability to work with structural elements, including Framing and aspects of Commercial Construction. Hands-on skills in Carpentry and Remodeling for new builds and renovation projects. Proficiency in surface preparation and finishing tasks such as Plastering and detailed drywall finishing. Previous experience as a Drywall Finisher or in a similar construction trade role. Knowledge of construction safety practices and ability to follow site-specific safety procedures. Strong attention to detail, ability to read basic construction drawings, and follow instructions accurately. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting materials, standing for extended periods, and working on ladders or scaffolding. Reliable transportation to the Dartmouth, NS job site and willingness to work flexible hours based on project needs.
