We’re hiring an experienced Designer to model pressure vessels, piping systems, and modular skid packages using Inventor and CADWorx. Come join our high-performance team in our Calgary or Innisfail locations. This position offers an opportunity to work directly on field-ready, ASME-certified equipment that is fabricated in-house, from concept to completion. Your Role? As a Designer, you’ll work in a modern design environment using Autodesk Inventor and CADWorx developing 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings for: * ASME pressure vessels * API certified storage tanks * Skid packages (dehydration units, inlet separators, meter skids, JT skids) * Shell-and-tube heat exchangers, line heaters, flare stacks Core Responsibilities Include: * Create 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and CADWorx. * Generate cut files for plasma table and support precise fabrication workflows. * Develop isometric piping layouts from P&IDs for packaged systems. * Enter Bills of Materials into ERP systems (e.g., Made2Manage) for inventory and purchasing. * Apply GD&T, welding symbols, ASME/API code compliance, and perform basic design checks. * Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Project Management to ensure efficient, buildable, and cost-effective designs. * Update as-built drawings based on shop feedback and field modifications. * Maintain revision control, drawing documentation, and support procurement teams with design data. Qualifications & Experience * 5 years plus experience in pressure vessel, piping, or tank design. * 5+ years total design experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, or welding environments. * Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent. * Advanced proficiency in: Autodesk Inventor, and CADWorx. * Strong understanding of: P&IDs, ASME, API, and ERP systems. * Delivering fabrication-ready drawings that are accurate and manufacturable. * Working across teams to resolve design and assembly issues. * Keeping up with design changes and revision control. * Providing practical design solutions. * Thriving in a dynamic production environment where your work becomes a tangible product.
