Key Responsibilities: * Approve in-process and finished products through visual and measurement inspections, including verifying layouts, fit-ups, welds, and materials for pressure vessels, tanks, piping, and structural fabrication. * Review and interpret X-Ray films, NDE reports, welding documentation, and weld test results to confirm compliance with applicable specifications. * Witness and document hydro tests, Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT), and weld tests. * Document inspection results by completing reports, identifying and summarizing re-work or deficiencies, and maintaining accurate records within the quality database. * Maintain and review Mill Test Reports (MTRs) and compile technical packages for projects. * Collaborate with production teams to ensure Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) compliance and assist in the development of new procedures. * Perform internal and external audits and manage project QA/QC documentation, including Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). * Coordinate with and provide support to third-party inspectors while on-site. * Follow and enforce strict quality and safety protocols, including the proper use of required PPE. Qualifications/Requirements: * CWB Level 2 (preferred). * Strong knowledge of ASME Code (an asset). * Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field. * Experience in shop fabrication/welding or as a journeyman (an asset). * Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook. * Ability to read and interpret drawings and weld symbols. * Understanding of welding processes and techniques. * High attention to detail and accurate measuring skills. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Team-oriented with a customer-focused mindset.
