Job Summary: Operating from our client site, Kearl Lake, this position involves the safe operation of several types of Class 1 units, hauling both water and sewer. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous experience in the industrial sector. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate several types of units (Water, sewer, Vacuum) in a safe and efficient manner. Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather. Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to daily logbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections. Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor. Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image. Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures. Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards and procedures. Ensure that all training is kept current. Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations. Seek out continuous improvement opportunities. Provide customer-focused services in all activities. Qualifications: Possess a valid Class 1 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract. Minimum 3 years experience including up to 18 speed manual class 1 equipment. Previous or related experience operating Water and Vac units. Mine drive experience required. Clear verbal and written communication skills. OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification. Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Good, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, H2S Alive and First Aid. Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, Drug and Alcohol and fit for duty pre-employment screening. Requirements
