Job Summary: Working from our Clients site location in Fort McMurray the Swamper position entails assisting a hydro vac operator preform jobs daily of a tri-drive hydro Vac unit. Mechanical skills will be an asset and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous hydro-vac experience in the industrial sector. Duties and Responsibilities: Position entails assisting a hydro vac operator preform jobs daily Perform physical labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather Assist with the setup and cleanup of job sites Follow instructions for tasks assigned by operator. Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures. Qualifications: Possess a (minimum) valid Class 5 license with clean driver’s abstract Previous (or related) experience operating hydro Vac units Clear verbal and written communication skills OSSA (or OSSA BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, Confined space and fall protection certification Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A and fit for duty pre-employment screening Submission: We thank you for your interest in Birch Mountain and remind all candidates that only successful applicants will be contacted.
