Job summary
Contract: September 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027 Positions: 8 Location: Calgary or Edmonton, AB Work Arrangement: Hybrid – may require up to 5 days/week in office About the Role We are seeking detail-oriented and client-focused Processing Center Advisors / Child Care Assessors to support Alberta families, childcare providers, and stakeholders through various child care programs and services. Key Responsibilities Review, assess, and process applications, renewals, and amendments according to program policies and guidelines. Assess client eligibility by reviewing financial and supporting documentation. Respond to phone, email, and online inquiries from parents, guardians, childcare providers, and other stakeholders. Explain program requirements and assist clients with online services and processes. Investigate and resolve application, payment, eligibility, and system-related issues. Maintain accurate records while following privacy, security, and information management requirements. Work with internal and external stakeholders to support effective program delivery. Participate in testing, training, continuous improvement, and operational initiatives. Qualifications Experience in customer service, program administration, benefits administration, case management, or a related field. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, legislation, and program guidelines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing information and documentation. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience handling sensitive and confidential information professionally. Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused and empathetic approach. Nice to Have Experience working with government programs, eligibility assessments, or social benefits administration. Experience supporting clients with complex or sensitive situations. Experience working with multiple databases and systems simultaneously while providing customer service. Additional Requirements Successful candidates will be required to complete Level 2 Enhanced Security Screening, including a Criminal Record Check and Financial Management Risk Indicator Screening (FMRIS).
