Job details
The Role Research, seek & close POS deals, with payments attached, wherever the merchant is a fit. You source, qualify, demo, propose, and close. Our client supports a POS system led training, advisor support for closing, deal onboarding, and the commercial agreements. The POS system manages the relationships post close and you continue to earn monthly residuals on both the software and the payment processing margins. Target buyers are lower mid-market retailers: hard good retailers, specialty retail, multi-location retail, and other operators. Responsibilities ● Build and work a pipeline of Canadian merchants who are in-market for a new or updated POS, a web re-platform, or both ● Run discovery against the real buying reasons: hardware failure, online and offline inventory drift, payment cost, multi-location reporting, contract end, etc. ● Deliver POS and web demos; coordinate solution support on anything non-standard (multi-location, B2B, ERP, existing processor migration) ● Attach payments on eligible deals and hand the merchant cleanly into underwriting and onboarding ● Manage the sales cycle through signature: partner order, hardware, and processing agreement *You are not expected to implement. You are expected to know the product well enough to run a credible demo and get a commitment for the store to move forward. Ideal Background & Experience ● Proven quota performance selling POS, commerce software, or merchant services into Canadian SMBs ● Ability to demo the POS and explain web and in-store inventory in plain language ● Existing network among retailers, vendors, or the consultants and bookkeepers who advise them ● Creativity using AI etc to build targeted lead lists ● Comfort selling Software as as Service as well as payment processing ● Clean compliance posture — no history of misrepresentation on rates or contract terms ● Based in Canada with access to retail density is ideal. ● Self-motivated and disciplined What We Provide ● Earn ongoing monthly commissions from both software and payment processing, creating the opportunity to build a growing stream of recurring income. ● Our client handles all monthly commission tracking, reporting, and payouts, allowing you to focus on acquiring new merchants and maximizing your earning potential. ● Partner deal registration, deal close support, pricing support ● Product & sales training, both initial as well as ongoing ● Demo environment, proposal templates, and a defined handoff into onboarding ● Flexibility to choose your own hours ● A Canadian contracting entity and a clear contractor agreement Rather than relying exclusively on closing new business to generate income, successful sales professionals can develop a portfolio of merchants that contributes to their monthly earnings for years to come. Lifetime Residual Commission Structure Contractors earn 40%–55% of the payment processing margins received, depending on the number of merchants successfully onboarded. In addition, contractors receive 25% of the eligible software. These commissions provide the opportunity to build a growing portfolio of recurring income, with lifetime residual payments continuing for as long as the applicable contractual conditions are met. Payment Processing Commission Tiers: ● Stores 1–35: 40% of eligible processing margins ● Stores 36–99: 50% of eligible processing margins ● Stores 100+: 55% of eligible processing margins Each store retains its original commission tier, while all qualifying stores are eligible for the 25% software commission rate.
