The Black Healthcare Professionals Network (BHPN) is a subsidiary of Aspire for Higher, a Black-led nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through education, employment, health, sports, and entrepreneurship. BHPN supports Black healthcare professionals across Canada through professional development, networking, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and meaningful community connections. The Membership Manager is responsible for growing and strengthening the BHPN membership experience by developing strategic partnerships, enhancing member engagement, and expanding the programs, resources, and benefits available to members. Working closely with the leadership team, this role helps ensure BHPN continues to deliver meaningful value while supporting the personal and professional success of Black healthcare professionals. Responsibilities: Lead the ongoing development and enhancement of the BHPN membership program, ensuring it continues to meet the evolving needs of members. Develop and implement strategies to strengthen member engagement, satisfaction, and long-term retention. Research, develop, and maintain member benefits, resources, and exclusive offerings that provide tangible value to the membership. Identify emerging trends and member needs and recommend new programs, services, and initiatives. Build and manage strategic partnerships with healthcare organizations, educational institutions, employers, and industry partners to expand opportunities and benefits for members. Work with partners to develop exclusive member discounts, educational opportunities, mentorship programs, and other value-added initiatives. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote membership offerings, educational resources, and member success stories. Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries and provide exceptional customer service and ongoing support. Manage member onboarding, ensuring new members understand and maximize the value of their membership. Maintain accurate membership records, databases, and CRM systems, including managing the BHPN member directory. Monitor and analyze membership metrics, engagement data, and member feedback to inform future strategies and continuous improvement. Conduct regular member surveys and needs assessments to ensure programming and resources remain relevant and impactful. Represent BHPN at networking events, conferences, and community engagements to build relationships and promote the organization’s mission. Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership on membership growth, engagement, partnerships, and program outcomes. Support additional organizational initiatives and projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Health Sciences, Community Development, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in membership management, customer experience, sales, business development, community engagement, or a similar role. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and engage diverse stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively. Experience using CRM or membership management platforms is considered an asset. Passion for advancing health equity and supporting Black communities is considered a strong asset. Must be based in Toronto Must have a vehicle Benefits: $55,000 - $65,000 /annually - 37.5 hrs weekly Enrollment in A4H Extended Health Benefits program Start Date: September 1, 2026 - August 30th, 2027 (1 year contract with possibility of extension) A fun-loving, supportive, environment where people are challenged to grow 50% Remote 50% in person

Requirements

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in membership management, sales, or community engagement. Must be based in Toronto and possess a personal vehicle.
