Job summary

We are seeking a Senior Hands-on Software Architect to lead the design and evolution of modern cloud-native applications while remaining actively involved in software development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring engineering teams, and driving architectural decisions without stepping away from coding. You will be responsible for designing scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems while supporting the modernization of existing monolithic applications into distributed microservices. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives. Responsibilities Design and evolve scalable software architectures for enterprise applications. Lead the modernization of legacy monolithic systems into cloud-native microservices using patterns such as Strangler Fig, Change Data Capture (CDC), and event-driven architectures. Develop production-ready software using Java (Spring Boot), Laravel (PHP), and React. Design RESTful APIs and asynchronous integrations using Kafka and Amazon SQS. Define service boundaries, data ownership, and communication strategies across distributed systems. Architect and implement cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency. Participate actively in coding, design reviews, and technical implementation. Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices across development teams. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term improvements. Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment strategies, monitoring, and operational excellence. Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle. Drive continuous improvements in architecture, development processes, and system observability. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise software solutions. Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot. Professional experience developing applications with Laravel (PHP) and React. Deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices. Extensive experience designing distributed systems and cloud-native applications. Strong understanding of architectural patterns, including: Microservices Modular Monoliths Strangler Fig Pattern Change Data Capture (CDC) Event-Driven Architecture Domain-Driven Design (DDD) RESTful APIs
