Job summary
Description BlueTuskr is a full-service e-commerce growth agency built exclusively for e-commerce brands. We combine paid media, owned media, creative, and analytics to help our clients scale profitably. Our team is made up of specialists who are deeply invested in their craft - and in the success of the brands they serve. This isn't a "jack of all trades" environment. We hire people who are exceptional at what they do, then give them the resources and autonomy to do it well. The Opportunity We're looking for an Email Marketing Lead who is exceptional at all things email, SMS, pop-up, and growth marketing — and who is ready to build and run the department, not just work inside it. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has spent real time in the trenches of email marketing and brings strong, applied knowledge of client retention strategies across top platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.), along with the AI fluency to work faster and smarter across the full campaign lifecycle. You'll set the strategic direction for email marketing across the agency and clients, lead execution and departmental build out, join client calls to represent the department's thinking, and help shape the agency's retention strategy overall — with room to take direct ownership of specific accounts as you settle into the role. You'll be the person clients and internal teams trust to tell them the truth, make the call, and back it up with data. This role is ideal for someone who's energized by building and leading something real — and who wants to do meaningful, measurable work at a company that holds itself accountable to results. What You'll Own Department Leadership Set strategy and standards for the email marketing department, including processes, playbooks, and QA Join client calls to represent email marketing strategy and results, with the potential to take direct ownership of specific accounts over time Partner with leadership on department tooling, workflow, and roadmap decisions Report on department performance and health to agency leadership Execution & Strategy Execute and oversee email marketing audits using platforms like Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc. Set strategy for automation, segmentation, A/B testing, and lifecycle marketing across client accounts Use AI tools to support copywriting, campaign optimization, segmentation, and reporting workflows Execute monthly reporting documentation and results reflection across the department Ensure list hygiene, segmentation, integrations, and deliverability management are executed to a high standard Ensure knowledge of and have direct hands-on reporting for DMARC, DKIM, SPF, and other technical deliverability items Brainstorm and pilot new approaches to email marketing, including applying AI capabilities to existing workflows Support analytics tracking and strategy for future campaigns Liaise with the broader marketing team to coordinate cross-channel strategy Who You Are Skills get you in the door. These are the qualities that make you right for this role: A proven Email Marketing Strategist and leader — not just an implementer — who understands the bigger picture and can optimize for performance across an entire book of business Strong expertise in email marketing best practices (segmentation, automation, A/B testing, implementation, integrations, etc.) Comfortable using AI tools to improve the speed and quality of email marketing work (copywriting, campaign build, reporting, or workflow automation) Experience with Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp, and other relevant platforms Analytics-driven, with the ability to diagnose and fix underperforming accounts Expert-level understanding of deliverability (DKIM, DMARC, etc.) Experience managing or mentoring other email marketers Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines Comfortable being client-facing, including joining client calls to speak to strategy and results Experience with email copywriting is a plus! What Success Looks Like In your first 90 days: You've audited existing email accounts and presented a prioritized roadmap for each You've been actively involved in strategy, implementation, and audits across all current email marketing accounts You've joined client calls and started building credibility with the client portfolio You've identified where AI can meaningfully speed up or improve the department's workflows, and started applying it You have a clear picture of what the email marketing department needs to operate at a high level, and a plan to build it You've established a productive working relationship with the team and understand how various departments connect Must-Have: Must-Have: 5+ years in email marketing, including experience leading or mentoring others Working knowledge of email & SMS marketing Experience managing small and large email volumes and contacts Proven track record managing client accounts and/or leading a team E-commerce or D2C brand experience (agency or in-house) Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day email marketing work Strong Differentiators: Hands-on experience with Klaviyo, Hubspot, Mailchimp, etc. Comfort with email account setup, migrations, and technical integrations Experience working within set processes, playbooks, or department infrastructure Agency background preferred Prior experience building or scaling an email marketing function Benefits: Fully remote Unlimited paid time off Internet, mobile phone, and gym reimbursements after 90 days TIME COMMITMENT AND AVAILABILITY Hours: 40 hours/week Availability: Availability between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. EST Salary: $3,500 - $4,000 USD/Month
