Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood, West Sussex (UK) - Bespoke Engineering - Placement Year (July 2027) Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bespoke Engineering Team, is seeking a highly skilled Bespoke Engineer to join our renowned team. What awaits you? As a Bespoke Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and executing truly one-of-a-kind vehicles that embody the pinnacle of luxury and personalization. Working closely with our in-house design team, you will translate their visions into reality, seamlessly blending the finest materials, meticulous attention to detail, and your exceptional engineering expertise. Collaborate with our Design Team to understand their unique design preferences and requirements. Conceptualize and engineer innovative interior & exterior solutions that push the boundaries of automotive craftsmanship. Oversee the production and installation of bespoke interior & exterior components to ensure flawless execution. Continuously research and incorporate the latest trends, technologies, and techniques to elevate the Rolls-Royce bespoke experience through our experimentation programme. Support general Bespoke Engineering administrative activities within the wider team. What should you bring along? Studying towards an Undergraduate degree in Automotive /Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or suitable equivalent and on track to achieve a 2.1 standard or higher. Self-motivation and a willingness to learn is essential. Ability to demonstrate good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Broad Material knowledge – both automotive and high-end products. Comfortable using digital tools and AI to develop smarter solutions. Creative approach to problem-solving. Experience in New Product Development environment would be advantageous. What can you look forward to? Requirements
Applicants must be studying toward an undergraduate degree in automotive, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering, or an equivalent subject, and be on track to achieve at least a 2:1. They should be self-motivated, willing to learn, organised, communicative, comfortable with digital tools and AI, and knowledgeable about automotive and high-end materials; new product development experience is advantageous.
