In your role, you will be responsible for overseeing the income tax recording under IAS 12 for Bombardier Inc. as a whole, and you will also be responsible for overseeing the production of financial statements for certain legal entities of Bombardier Inc. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising a small team of employees. Oversee the consolidated tax computation Supervise, prepare and validate Bombardier inc. legal entities monthly and quarterly tax computations; Consolidate deferred income tax, income tax payable and income tax expense, and recommend required adjustment; Play a key role in the preparation and review of reports and underlying high-value analyses, including providing training as required; Reconciliation of the yearly true-up by legal entities and calculate the impact; Provide the detailed calculation for Pillar Two (Global minimum tax) and the Country-by-country reports as per specification to the tax department; Support to tax department for external audits and any other requirements; Prepare and review the Income taxes note to the financial statements of Bombardier Inc and its entities; Interact with external auditors and with various business segment stakeholders; Assure timely and high-quality delivery of consolidated income tax; and Actively contribute to the consolidated annual budget and strategic plans of income tax. Be responsible for the financial reporting aspects of certain legal entities Coordinate, plan, review and participate in monthly period-end process for some entities of the company; Be responsible for the entities of all the financial reporting aspects, which include: Participate and coordinate the annual audit process and the annual statutory requirements for those entities. Prepare the statutory financial statements. Work closely with the Auditors and manage the relationship. Any other related tasks. Work closely with the different Finance teams; Work closely with the Shared Services Center. Perform deep dive analysis of the entities’ account reconciliations; Participate in the development and implementation of various projects; Support ad-hoc request; Work on various projects to improve team efficiency; Any other related tasks. Consolidation and projects Participate in the quarterly review process of the Bombardier Inc. consolidated financial statements; Oversee the training committee for Finance; Participate in special projects, as required; Execution of any other related tasks. How to thrive in this role? You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; You possess a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA); You demonstrate strong proficiency in the MS Office suite; You have more than ten (10) years of pertinent experience and you are known for your leadership and your personal management skills; You have strong knowledge of IAS 12 – Income taxes; You have knowledge of S/4HANA and OneStream (considered an asset); You possess solid knowledge of accounting standards; You demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; You demonstrate strong team spirit, leadership, flexibility, and autonomy; You demonstrate strong capacity to work under pressure and under tight deadlines in a complex environment; You are bilingual (French and English), both written and spoken; You develop people and grow talent. Requirements
Requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, a CPA designation, and more than 10 years of relevant experience. Candidates should have strong IAS 12 and accounting standards knowledge, leadership and analytical abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and spoken and written French and English; S/4HANA and OneStream knowledge is an asset.
