THE OPPORTUNITY Most "AI roles" are a ChatGPT wrapper with a fancy title. This isn't one of them. BoomerangFX is the fastest-growing AI-powered practice management platform in private-pay healthcare, operating across 6+ countries. We're building the next generation of clinical AI, starting with Auvia, our autonomous patient engagement co-pilot. We're looking for a Senior Generative AI Engineer who wants to do more than ship models - someone who wants to architect production-grade agentic systems on Azure, shape our AI architecture from the ground up, and see their work go live across a global healthcare platform. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role with real technical ownership, working directly with leadership on where AI takes the business next. Location: 5 days on-site, Mississauga, Ontario Immediate joiners welcome WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BUILD AI Solution Development Design, build, and deploy scalable AI and Machine Learning solutions Develop production-grade applications using LLMs, NLP, Generative AI, and intelligent automation Architect enterprise AI solutions that solve real business challenges Build scalable, maintainable AI workflows and services Generative AI & LLM Applications Build and optimize solutions using OpenAI, Anthropic, and Azure OpenAI Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks Develop conversational AI, chatbot, and AI-agent solutions Azure AI & Cloud Architecture Deploy AI applications within Microsoft Azure environments Work with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and related technologies Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities and define solution strategies Translate business requirements into technical AI solutions Present recommendations, prototypes, and solution designs to stakeholders Optimization & Continuous Improvement Monitor, evaluate, and improve AI model performance Establish testing, validation, and evaluation frameworks Support AI governance, quality assurance, and reliability initiatives WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU - straight numbers, no guessing games 8+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Development, or AI Consulting 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience 2+ years building production-grade Generative AI, NLP, chatbot, or LLM-based applications 3+ years working with Microsoft Azure, including Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Services 2-3+ years of Canadian work experience Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases, AI agents, and workflow automation Track record of taking AI solutions from proof-of-concept to production Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills Legally authorized to work in Canada today — not in-process, not pending EDUCATION Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. NICE TO HAVE • Experience in Healthcare SaaS or Healthcare Technology • Experience building enterprise-scale AI products and intelligent automation solutions THE REAL TALK This is an individual contributor role with serious technical scope - not a management title, and we're not dressing it up as one. Design, build, and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems and scalable ML solutions on Azure for a healthcare platform. Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical AI architectures and optimize model performance.

Requires 8+ years of experience in AI/ML or software development, including 5+ years of Python and 2+ years of production Generative AI experience. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and possess a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
