Working alongside Operators and Supervisors, Labourers are responsible for a wide range of physically demanding tasks in an outdoor construction environment. This role supports daily production activities, site preparation, material handling and general labour duties while contributing to the safe and efficient operation of our projects. Job Responsibilities Load, unload and move construction materials to support daily production Prepare and maintain work areas to ensure efficient crew operations Perform manual grading, digging and site preparation where equipment use is not practical Operate small equipment such as rollers and skid steers once qualified Follow Alberta Transportation Traffic Accommodation in Work Zones requirements Perform daily equipment inspections and minor maintenance Work with hot mix, cold mix asphalt and gravel materials Assist with grading and slope control Mark manholes and water valves as required Qualifications Valid Class 5 Drivers License required Class 3 and/or Q Endorsement (Airbrakes) are considered strong assets Previous asphalt or construction experience is an asset Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions Strong work ethic and commitment to safety Current driver's abstract required prior to hire What We Offer Competitive wages based on experience Benefits Profit sharing Company Share Ownership Program Ongoing training and development Opportunities for advancement Steady work during the construction season Many of our leaders started in field or entry level roles and we believe strongly in promoting from within.
