Job Description Summary: This position will be vital to the business's day-to-day and long-term goals. The individual needs to be highly motivated and able to work in a flexible environment. As Borealis continues to grow, the individual can grow with the company. This position will lead and develop the service team in the Invermere branch area. As a Class A/B gas fitter, Borealis expects this role to be split between coaching/mentoring an apprentice and doing the A/B gas fitting work. Borealis considers this position essential to its operations in the Invermere Valley. Duties & Responsibilities: Support Borealis’ vision for LPG service excellence in the region Support the development of Borealis’ Parts & Services division in the area Help Borealis build and lead a strong service team with skilled labour. Mentor and coach new employees and apprentices. Coordinate new tank installations and tank swap-outs with the Area Manager Design, build, permit and service bulk storage facilities. Design, build, permit and service industrial gas distribution systems. Participate in weekly operations meetings with the Borealis team. Participate in Business Development activities and initiatives when required. Installed, repaired, serviced, and replaced propane gas appliances, regulators, gas meters, valves, burners, and vaporizers in residential, commercial, or industrial-related properties and areas. Perform new tank installations and tank swap-outs Work on liquid piping systems and install, repair and maintain vaporizers Support the Borealis team in estimating and preparing proposals for new commercial and industrial customers. Continue to develop knowledge of the CSA B149.1 and B149.2 codes and apply the rules. Education/Experience: Minimum High School Diploma Gas Fitter schooling and apprenticeships for Gas Fitter A in BC Bulk handling and bottle fill PTI-recognized courses Class 3 with air/crane experience ( preferred) Position Requirements: Gas Fitter A Certificate of Qualification in BC Extensive knowledge of the propane and LPG industry Extensive knowledge of gas-fired appliances Proficient with computers and office software Exceptional communication and time management skills. Multitasking and the ability to work with teams. Solid knowledge of the Canadian mining industry Communication and self-organization skills, a hands-on mentality Attention to detail and a self-starter Ability to work away from home from time to time to execute large projects and/or service remote customer locations

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Gas Fitter A Certificate of Qualification in British Columbia and possess extensive knowledge of propane and LPG industry standards. A high school diploma is required, along with experience in bulk handling and the ability to work in a hands-on, field-based environment.
