Employer paid Employee Assistance Program Other Incentives: Progression and development opportunities Safety Recognition Years of Service Recognition – Annual Company support for recertification of required tickets Bouchier welcome gift and company swag Camp Accommodations are available Flights from Edmonton/Calgary Hub Overtime available but not guaranteed Role Summary: Bouchier is looking for an Overhead Door Technician who is ambitious, hardworking, and eager to learn new skills while supporting the organization in a variety of roles. The Overhead door technician installs, services, repairs and conducts preventative maintenance on residential, industrial and commercial overhead sectional doors, coiling doors, coiling and sliding steel fire doors, electric operating devices for these doors, dock levelers, electric gate openers, and access control devices for residential, commercial and industrial sites. Primary Responsibilities: Complete field level risk assessments Performs repairs and adjustments which may include such tasks are replacing springs or cables or installing items such as garage doors, keypads, or operators. Preparation of field reports on product problems, collection of receipts and maintenance of service orders Diagnose problems, provide solutions, and carry out work. Assemble and install product, utilize hand, and power tools Service and repair installations Safely perform installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and diagnose faults on various systems including but not limited to: Electric motors, gear boxes, chain, and belt drive systems etc. Completion of approved commissioning check sheets. Perform system walk downs, punch listing of faulty or missing items and rectification of those items. Assist vendor representatives and site operations in commissioning and start up (energization) activities for all mechanical systems on site. Communicate design discrepancies and design issues to the commissioning operations manager and the site project manager. Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures. Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances. Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments. Perform predictive and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repair or replace defective parts when necessary. Other duties as assigned Education & Experience: Alberta-certified Journeyman or a recognized related trade certificate is required Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with ability to produce a clean driver's abstract is required. CSO (Common Safety Orientation) certificate is required WHMIS 2015 certification is required (completed within the last 3 years) A minimum of 5 years' experience in Mega Door Installation, Maintenance and repairs is required. A minimum of 5 years' experience in an oilfield industrial environment / Industrial experience is preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in a physically demanding environment Ability to work comfortably at heights. Ability to pay attention to detail. Good written and oral communication skills. Requirements
Candidates must hold an Alberta-certified Journeyman trade certificate and possess at least 5 years of experience in mega door installation and maintenance. A valid Class 5 driver's license, CSO, and WHMIS 2015 certifications are also mandatory.
