Plasma Bevel Cutting Machine Operator

Brannon Steel is looking for an experienced CNC Plasma Blevel Cutting Machine Operator to join the team at its Brampton manufacturing location on the afternoon shift. Start from $27.19 per hour and up depending on experience PLUS up to $2 per hour in afternoon shift premiums. Shift: Monday - Friday, 3PM - 11PM. (afternoon shift). Setup, operate, and troubleshoot one or more 2-axis CNC plasma bevel cutting machines Move large steel parts and plate using overhead crane with clamps, magnets, vacuum lifters and other attachments Read part drawings and production documents Check finished parts against specifications Perform and document quality inspections Document work completed Requirements Experience operating 2-axis or 3-axis CNC plasma cutting machines Experience operating overhead cranes, preferably with valid record of training Perform manual material handling up to 23 kgs (50 lbs) Perform standing and repetitive work including bending, twisting, lifting, and stair climbing Read, write, and speak English at a conversational level Perform basic math. Setup, operate, and troubleshoot 2-axis CNC plasma bevel cutting machines to produce steel parts. Responsible for moving large steel plates using overhead cranes and performing quality inspections against specifications.

Requires experience operating 2-axis or 3-axis CNC plasma cutting machines and overhead cranes. Candidates must be able to perform physical labor up to 50 lbs and possess conversational English and basic math skills.
