Job summary

Brannon Steel is looking for an experienced hydraulic Press Brake Operator to join the team at its Brampton manufacturing location on the afternoon shift (3pm-11pm). Starting from $27.19 and up per hour depending on experience PLUS up to $2 per hour in afternoon shift premiums. Please do not call to inquire about the status of your application, we will contact those who meet the requirements. Duties Above all, work safely! Setup, operate, and troubleshoot hydraulic CNC press brakes. Form large steel parts for world-class heavy equipment manufacturers. Perform material handling activities (i.e. locating material, tooling changes, loading / unloading machine) using an overhead crane or other material handling equipment. Organize equipment and materials to minimize downtime. Complete all required documents in an accurate and timely manner. Complete assigned housekeeping activities and contribute to overall shop cleanliness and organization. Assist other Forming staff when work schedule permits or as assigned. Strong experience operating heavy hydraulic press brakes OR completion of applicable metal fabrication program. Strong overhead crane experience. Skilled at reading part drawings including GD&T. Understanding of steel grades and characteristics. Able to perform manual material handling up to 36 kgs (80 lbs). Able to perform intermediate math. Proficient with basic and precision measuring tools. Proficient with hand and power tools. Speak, read and write English at a conversational level. Able to work on the afternoon shift (Mon - Fri, 3pm - 11pm). Shift premiums up to $4 per hour on nights and $2 per hour on afternoons. Overtime after 40 hours per week. Service award program including travel vouchers for $3,000, $5,000, and $10,000 for 10, 20, and 30 years of service. Group RRSP program with contribution matching up to 5% of regular annual earnings.
