Job summary

There is no option to work remotely. Responsibilities Tasks Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions Address customers' complaints or concerns Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques Professionalism in customer service Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Load and unload goods Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform brake adjustments Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Perform preventive maintenance Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Transport and handle dangerous goods Experience and specialization Documentation knowledge Driver logbook Type of trucking and equipment Tractor-trailer Additional information Security and safety Basic security clearance Work conditions and physical capabilities Attention to detail Handling heavy loads Large workload Physically demanding Repetitive tasks Sitting Personal suitability Flexibility Judgement Organized Reliability Team player Hardworking Patience
