The Peer Specialist focuses on developing and expanding recovery skills in individuals by building therapeutic relationships, helping clients access tools and community support, and motivating them toward recovery maintenance. Key functions include collaborating on personalized treatment plans, maintaining communication with referral sources, providing transportation, offering crisis intervention, and documenting services according to standards.
