As a Music and Movement Instructor, you will ensure that all children are engaged, motivated and having fun while laying the groundwork for them to explore the world of music. Responsibilities include: • Developing a music curriculum and preparing lessons plans. • Teaching fundamentals of music: tempo, rhythm, pitch, etc. through various methods and activities. • Communicating with diverse groups of children and other staff. • Engaging, encouraging, and motivating children to reach their goals. • Conducting group lessons for children aged 18 months – 4 years. • All other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will: * Have experience working in early years or preschool settings * Bring a joyful, upbeat, and engaging presence when working with children * Be able to confidently incorporate songs and rhythm instruments such as shakers, drums, and sticks into programming (ability to play an instrument is a plus, but not required) * Be confident leading interactive music and movement sessions * Be comfortable supporting light administrative/back-end tasks (organizing materials, assisting with schedules, and following company protocols) * Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and maintain positive working relationships with educators, Centre Directors, and myself * Be comfortable with part-time hours and travel between locations * Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (ability to drive between locations is required) * Must hold a current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) Top Reasons to join BrightPath Kids: • We offer a 40% child care discount to Full-Time employees & 10% to Part-Time so that your family can take advantage of our great learning environment! • We will support your long-term career goals by offering opportunities for professional development. • Full-time staff receive 6 days sick time per year. • Full-time staff are given 10 paid holidays off. • Full-time staff are offered health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance and life insurance.
