END DATE JULY 2027) REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENT WAGE RATE: $41.15 – $58.98 Reporting to the site Manager, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the promotion of health and the assessment of, the provision of care of, and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means to patients in order to attain or maintain optimal function. Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Required Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility Ability and willingness to interpret basic arrhythmias Ability and willingness to work on Medical/Surgical Unit as required Current certification in or willingness to obtain: ACLS PALS BCLS CTAS Delegated medical acts Leadership, problem solving, decision-making, critical thinking and interpersonal skills Assessment and interviewing skills Ability and willingness to escort patients via ambulance services when required Ability and willingness to flex time to meet unit, staff and patient needs Ability and willingness to work in a team environment and contribute to continuous quality improvement Ability and willingness to work all shifts Commitment to continuous professional development and continuing education Basic computer knowledge Participation in staff meetings and unit specific projects Communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records Demonstrate, promote and encourage Brightshores’ values – We Show Up for Each Other, We Are Trusted to Act, We Create Solutions Together, We Strive for Better, We Share Accountability Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes Comply with all applicable health and safety policies, procedures and regulations, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment Preferred Emergency Nursing Certificate Physical Assessment Course TNCC or equivalent Recent Medical/Surgical/PACU/Day Surgery/Critical Care experience Two years recent Emergency experience NRP

Requirements
Candidates must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and possess or be willing to obtain certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and BCLS. Preferred qualifications include an Emergency Nursing Certificate and two years of recent emergency experience.
