Qualifications Required: Ontario College of Nurses registration Two years recent acute care nursing experience Medication Certification and ability to practice Physical Assessment Course or equivalent Competency in surgical aseptic technique, urinary catheterization, medication administration, IV therapy, Enteral feeding. POCT, wound care and drain care, PCA, chest tubes, epidural analgesia and monitoring patient receiving blood and blood products Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills Commitment to continuing education and professional development Participation in staff meetings and unit specific projects Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records Demonstrate, promote and encourage Brightshores’ values – We Show Up for Each Other, We Are Trusted to Act, We Create Solutions Together, We Strive for Better, We Share Accountability Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes Comply with all applicable health and safety policies, procedures and regulations, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment Preferred Completion of PACU nursing course

Requirements
