Role Overview Athlete Experience Specialists (AES) are the first and last impression of Brodie League's game night experience. Your role is to create a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere for athletes, fans, and staff while representing the Brodie brand with professionalism and pride. The goal is to make every athlete and fan feel welcome and build a strong sense of community throughout the night. Your presence, energy, and professionalism directly shape how players and fans experience Brodie - making the AES role essential to delivering an unforgettable gameday. Core Responsibilities Athlete & Fan Welcome Greet athletes, fans, and guests as they arrive - set a high-energy, welcoming tone from the moment people walk in Check in players efficiently and ensure smooth front-of-house flow throughout the evening Answer questions, direct people to the right areas, and resolve minor concerns on the spot Atmosphere & Environment Support the setup and breakdown of the game night environment to Brodie's standards Help maintain energy levels across the gym throughout the full duration of the event Contribute to a consistent, premium game night atmosphere at every location Brand Representation Represent Brodie League with professionalism, enthusiasm, and pride at all times Engage meaningfully with athletes and fans to create a genuine sense of community Act as an ambassador for the Brodie brand in all interactions throughout the night Requirements Must Have Outgoing, high-energy personality with a natural ability to make people feel welcome Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable presence Availability for evenings and weekends - game nights are non-negotiable Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-energy event environment Genuine passion for sports, community, and delivering exceptional experiences Must operate as a self-employed individual and be responsible for own tax remittances and HST obligations Nice to Have Prior experience in events, hospitality, sports, or customer-facing service roles Familiarity with or connection to Winnipeg's basketball or recreational sports community Experience as a player or fan in a competitive rec league setting ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DISCLOSURE Artificial intelligence may be used in the recruitment and selection process, including to screen, assess, or evaluate applicants.
