Posting: 2026-230: Probationary Financial Analyst (1.0 FTE) CEC As a member of the Business Services Team and reporting to the Manager of Financial Services, the Financial Analyst provides accurate and timely financial and statistical reporting and analysis for internal users, including on-going review of the budget and financial performance in order to forecast year end results and allow teams to alter their spending patterns where necessary/possible. The Financial Analyst may also responsible for the reporting of ongoing capital and amortization activities. This position is accountable to ensure all monies flowing through the general ledger meet Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and related legislative regulations. Qualifications Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or Commerce Working towards or has attained a recognized accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA) an asset Three years of previous experience in a related field Advanced proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs and applications Proficient with Power BI or similar systems Demonstrated knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements Strong knowledge of fiscal management, business finance, and capital funding Ability to plan, analyze, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives, and policies Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices Meticulous with numbers High level of integrity and excellent work ethic Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills We thank you for your interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
