Job summary
Project Controller Location: Calgary, AB Type: 1-year contract Schedule: 4 days in the office, 1 day work from home Rate: $120/h About the Role We are seeking a Senior Project Controller to support a large-scale ERP transformation program. This role will focus heavily on cost controls, forecasting, budget management, variance analysis, vendor cost validation, and executive reporting while supporting integrated project controls across schedule, milestones, dependencies, risks, and governance. Key Responsibilities Manage project budgets, forecasts, commitments, accruals, and estimate-at-completion (EAC) reporting. Develop and maintain cost baselines, forecasting models, WBS structures, milestones, and dependency tracking. Perform variance analysis and identify financial and delivery risks. Prepare dashboards, executive reports, KPI reporting, and governance materials. Validate vendor and system integrator cost submissions and forecasting assumptions. Support PMO, Finance, Project Managers, and stakeholders with planning, forecasting, and reporting activities. Ensure project controls processes, reporting standards, and governance requirements are consistently applied. Required Qualifications 15+ years of Project Controls experience with a strong focus on cost controls, forecasting, project finance, and governance. Experience supporting large-scale programs valued at $50M+ in complex, multi-vendor environments. Strong expertise in budget management, forecasting, accruals, commitments, variance analysis, and executive reporting. Advanced proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Azure DevOps, MS Project, OnePlan, Primavera P6, or similar tools. Ability to communicate project cost, schedule, and delivery performance to both technical and executive stakeholders. Preferred PMP, AACE, PMI-SP, or equivalent certification. Experience with ERP transformation programs (Oracle Fusion experience is an asset). Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery environments.
