Edmonton, AB (On-site OR Calgary-based candidates open to travel) Introduction Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of managing capital projects valued at $6–7 million or more. This role plays a critical part in driving operational efficiency, managing complex capital investments, and delivering technical expertise to optimize plant performance. The position offers the opportunity to work across multiple manufacturing sites with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation in food production systems. Responsibilities Oversee full lifecycle delivery of large-scale capital projects, from design through to commissioning. Manage multi-million-dollar budgets, cost tracking, and vendor negotiations to ensure high-value returns. Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support for equipment and services within the plant. Work with regulatory authorities to secure project-related permits and approvals. Drive process improvement initiatives and lead cross-functional teams to implement best-in-class solutions. Collaborate closely with Plant Managers and stakeholders to implement process technologies and efficiency upgrades across manufacturing facilities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Chemical, Food Process preferred). Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred but not mandatory. P.Eng designation is considered a strong asset. Minimum 6 years of experience managing projects valued at $6–7 million or more, preferably in a food & beverage or pulp and paper environment. Background in engineering consulting is highly desirable. Willingness to travel (25%), including from Calgary to Edmonton, if based outside the city.
