We're looking for a Junior Maintenance Technician to join our Calgary team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing things right, and is looking to build a long-term career in residential property maintenance. What You'll Do As part of our maintenance team, you'll help ensure our communities remain safe, clean, and exceptionally well maintained. Your responsibilities will include: • Completing routine maintenance, repairs, and resident service requests • Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections • Assisting with basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and mechanical repairs • Maintaining common areas and supporting building operations • Troubleshooting maintenance issues and escalating when appropriate • Coordinating with contractors and property management as needed • Keeping accurate records of completed work • Delivering friendly, professional service to our residents • Following all company policies and health and safety procedures • Participating in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation as required What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, motivated, and eager to learn. You'll be a great fit if you have: • Experience in residential property maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general building repairs • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • An understanding of preventative maintenance practices • Excellent communication and customer service skills • The ability to prioritize work independently while contributing to a collaborative team • The ability to perform physical work, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Technical training, apprenticeship experience, trade certification, and experience with Microsoft Office or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) are considered assets.
