Agathe State : Manitoba (CA-MB) Country : Canada (CA) Requisition Number : 47780 A Day in the Life: As a Grain Receiver, you will play a key role in the receiving, sampling, grading, and unloading of inbound canola, meal, and oil shipments. This position is responsible for completing testing, documentation, and system transactions accurately and efficiently, while supporting safe operations, product quality, and production performance. You will also assist with canola binning activities and contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and customer-focused work environment. What You'll Be Doing: Operate equipment to unload inbound canola truck shipments. Sample inbound canola loads and perform dockage, grading, moisture, and non-GMO testing. Accurately collect and record inbound and outbound truck weights. Prepare shipping and receiving documents, including grain receipts and bills of lading, using SIPS. Assess canola grade, dockage, moisture content, and type to ensure compliance with Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) standards. Complete all canola, meal, and oil shipping and receiving documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Provide a high level of customer service through professional and courteous interactions with suppliers, drivers, and visitors. Maintain seed samples, including stacking, storage, and disposal as required. Complete and maintain logs and records for food safety and compliance purposes. Monitor equipment for wear or damage and perform minor maintenance and repairs when necessary. Follow all health, safety, environmental, and fire prevention policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain facilities and grounds in a clean, organized, and hazard-free condition. Perform general housekeeping and site support duties as required. Support other operational activities and perform additional duties as assigned. Skills/Experience Requirements: High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent required. Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, grain processing, agricultural, or rail operations environment is considered an asset. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. Ability to work safely in dusty and industrial environments. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year. Comfortable working at heights. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
