Job summary
Cylinder Room Labourer Job Overview and Responsibilities:Cylinder Room Labourer Primary responsibilities include the following (but are not limited to): Cleaning and preparing pressure cylinders (sample vessels) to collect oil & gas samples. Perform cleaning (clean oil samples by solvent recirculation, gas samples by steam and dry air) followed by vacuuming and preparation for cylinder. Prepare the boxes of sample cylinders by strapping, labelling and arranging them for client pick up or shipping. Able to stand in one work satation doing repetitve motion for 2 hours before moving to another task. Ability to use computers, Microsoft 365 and communicate by email in English. Inspect and maintain cylinder room tools and equipment on a regular basis. Maintain proper inventory of supplies, parts, accessories and other consumables associated with shipping. Maintain open communications/emails within department to effectively identify client needs. Perform daily workload as prioritized by supervisor to accommodate daily rushes. Provide support as required to other areas of Technical Services Group. Update parts inventory and order parts. Is there a mutual fit? You ideally have: Education: High School Diploma or higher. Technical skills (handy with tools for cylinder repairs and testing). and preferably some shipping experience. Safety awareness and follow company safety protocols. Communicating by emails, knowledge of excel, and intensive use of computers. Able to lift 50 lbs. Good time-management, multi-tasking and priority setting skills Positive outlook with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Detail oriented and solid record keeping skills. Experience in performing all or most of the tasks above.
