Here are our Core Values: Trusted Responsible Ambitious & Humble Open & Inclusive If these values resonate with you, Bureau Veritas is looking for a: Sample Preparation Technician Timmins, ON 6-month contract Reporting to the Sample Prep Manager and under the general guidance of the Sample Prep Supervisor and/or Shift Lead Hand, the Sample Prep Technician performs duties related to the preparation of client samples for analysis. Job Overview and Responsibilities: Prepare geological samples by crushing, pulverizing or sieving according to Standard Operating Procedures without deviation unless authorized by the Manager Ensure fast and accurate processing of incoming samples in priority sequence Scan crushing / pulverizing QC checks and equipment used and boxes to the next station upon completion of pages, as required Perform and document quality checks during sample preparation according to SOP and halt production upon consultation with the Supervisor where non-compliant Operate and clean equipment and notify shift Lead-Hand or Supervisor when equipment maintenance is necessary Comply with occupational health and safety legislation, BV Group Policies and Procedures, Upstream Minerals Management System Policies and Procedures and ISO standards applicable to the position Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment (PPE) Provide feedback to Lead-Hand or Supervisor for possible improvements in his/her work are Other duties as assigned from time to time Is there a mutual fit?
