Caframo is seeking a Supply Chain Team Lead to provide hands-on leadership for sourcing, procurement, supply planning, and order management across our manufacturing operation. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role leads day-to-day supply chain activities and provides technical expertise across sourcing, supplier management, inventory planning, and customer order fulfillment. Working closely with Sales, Production, Finance, Quality, and Operations, the Supply Chain Team Lead helps optimize inventory, strengthen supplier relationships, improve service performance, and support operational excellence. As the lead sourcing resource, this role is accountable for supplier selection, negotiations, supplier performance management, and identifying opportunities to improve cost, quality, delivery, and continuity of supply. The successful candidate is a collaborative, hands-on leader who develops team capabilities, resolves operational challenges, and drives continuous improvement across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Team Leadership Lead daily sourcing, procurement, planning, and order management activities. Coach, mentor, and support Supply Chain team members. Monitor KPIs and drive accountability, service, and operational improvements. Support standardized processes, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in cross-functional planning activities and S&OP processes. Escalate supply risks, resource constraints, and performance concerns as needed. Provide hands-on operational support and project leadership when required. Sourcing & Procurement Lead supplier and material sourcing activities to ensure continuity of supply, competitive pricing, quality, and service performance. Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial agreements. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support business objectives. Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective action initiatives. Identify and implement cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and value improvement opportunities. Support supply risk mitigation through alternate sourcing and continuity planning. Partner with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Operations to support new product introductions, supplier development, and material changes. Supply Planning Support inventory optimization by balancing customer demand, supply availability, production requirements, and lead times. Maintain planning parameters including safety stock, lead times, reorder points, and lot-sizing requirements. Monitor inventory performance and collaborate with Production, Sales, and Customer Service to address material shortages and supply constraints. Order Management Coordinate the order-to-fulfillment process, ensuring timely and accurate order delivery. Monitor order fulfillment performance, including OTIF and order fill rates, and support service level objectives. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Logistics to resolve customer order issues and improve service performance. Supply Chain Risk Management Maintain supply risk assessments and mitigation plans. Support business continuity and alternate sourcing strategies. Monitor regulatory, freight, tariff, and customs impacts. Identify and address supply chain vulnerabilities and disruptions. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including sourcing, procurement, planning, and inventory management. 3+ years of supplier sourcing and procurement experience. 2+ years of team leadership, mentoring, or coordination experience in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success driving cross-functional collaboration and process improvement. APICS, SCMP, NISCL, or equivalent certification considered an asset. Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Epicor experience considered an asset. Skills & Competencies Strong sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and negotiation skills. Knowledge of supply planning, inventory management, logistics, and order fulfillment. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Proven problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities. Ability to lead process improvements and manage competing priorities. Effective coaching and team development skills. Experience using AI and digital tools to improve efficiency and business performance.
