Role Description The Digital Content Creator is a remote, contract role responsible for developing and publishing digital content that communicates Ukah Bookkeeping Services’ value to small business owners and entrepreneurs. Day-to-day tasks include planning content topics, writing and editing social media posts, blog articles, email newsletters, and website copy, and repurposing content for multiple platforms. The role also involves creating simple visual assets or collaborating with designers, scheduling and monitoring posts, and ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines and messaging. The Digital Content Creator will research industry trends, highlight bookkeeping best practices, and optimize content for engagement and clarity. Collaboration with the business owner to refine messaging, track performance metrics, and adjust content strategy over time is expected. Qualifications Content creation skills, including digital copywriting, blog and article writing, and social media content development. Content strategy and planning abilities, such as editorial calendar management, audience research, and aligning content with business goals. Strong editing and proofreading skills, with attention to detail, clarity, and consistency across all digital channels. Basic design and digital media skills, including familiarity with Canva or similar tools and an understanding of visual best practices for social media and web. Knowledge of digital marketing principles, including SEO fundamentals, email marketing practices, and analytics interpretation for content performance. Comfort with financial and business topics, and the ability to translate bookkeeping concepts into accessible, user-friendly content. Excellent written communication skills in en_US, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a remote, contract setting. Experience creating content for professional services, small businesses, or the finance/accounting sector is an asset. Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, journalism, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in finance, bookkeeping, accounting, or B2B services is an advantage but not required.
