WHAT YOU WILL DO The Heavy Duty Mechanic - Journeyperson will be a member of the Maintenance Department responsible for daily repairs and preventative maintenance of Calfrac’s well-servicing equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Heavy Duty Mechanic - Journeyperson will focus on diagnosing and repairing equipment in a safe, timely and effective manner. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements * Diagnose and repair equipment in a safe, timely and effective manner * Assist in mentoring apprentices and new employees * Ensure that all paperwork is completed both accurately and on time * Verify repairs and ensure they are completed and documented * Ensure all maintenance inspections are completed * Record all equipment deficiencies * Remote field work may be required * Must attend all pre-job meetings and attend safety meetings when required * Participate in equipment modifications, campaigns & recalls WE OFFER * Health and dental benefits – day one of employment * Paid vacation * Retirement plan (RRSP) employer matching * Competitive compensation and employee rewards * Well-maintained, high-tech equipment * Career advancement opportunities * Position-specific PPE provided to all new hires * Fuel discount card * Home and Auto Insurance preferred rates SCHEDULE Eight (8) days on and six (6) days off EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright Certification required 4-5 years of related experience * Valid Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent required * Satisfactory drivers abstract required * Adequate tool selection for Heavy Duty Mechanic Trade * Successful completion of the Interprovincial Journeyman Red Seal program is preferred * Certified to complete CVIP / DOT inspections would be considered an asset We thank all applicants for their interest in this position. What you’ll do

Requirements

A Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright certification and 4–5 years of related experience are required, along with a valid Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent, a satisfactory driver’s abstract, and an adequate selection of trade tools. An Interprovincial Journeyman Red Seal is preferred, and CVIP/DOT inspection certification is an asset.
