Job summary
Ottawa, ON (On-site) or Calgary, AB (Remote) Position Overview The Field Applications Engineer serves as the technical bridge between customers, sales, product management, and engineering teams. In this customer-facing role, you will help customers evaluate, integrate, and optimize industry-leading GNSS and RF solutions across markets including precision agriculture, machine control, robotics, UAVs, marine, and defense. Responsibilities Provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support for GNSS and RF products and solutions. Partner with customers, distributors, and sales teams to understand application requirements and recommend optimal solutions. Support product evaluations, design-in activities, and customer integration efforts. Deliver technical presentations, training, and product education to customers and partners. Troubleshoot customer applications and resolve complex technical issues. Prepare and review technical requirements, specifications, and supporting documentation. Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to communicate customer needs and product feedback. Support industry events, customer visits, and technical meetings. Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Field Applications Engineer, Applications Engineer, Systems Engineer, RF Engineer, or Technical Sales Engineer. Experience with GNSS technologies, RF systems, antenna products, or related wireless communications technologies. Strong understanding of RF electronics and related wireless technologies. Experience with GNSS technologies is strongly preferred. Ability to interpret datasheets, block diagrams, RF schematics, and system architectures. Experience with test and measurement equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes. Ability to analyze performance issues and validate system specifications. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Comfortable delivering technical presentations and communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Additional Requirements Ability to travel up to 60-70% throughout North America as required. Valid passport and ability to travel internationally on occasion. Compensation This role offers a base salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 and includes a commission plan as part of the overall compensation package Vacancy We have 1 available position(s).
