The Role As a member of Cameco’s technical services team, you will provide advanced technical expertise in specialized disciplines supporting project definition, planning, engineering readiness, technical governance, compliance, risk management and project execution. In This Role, You Will Acts as a subject matter expert on code compliance review for multiple projects. Work across projects, sites, disciplines and corporate functions. Support stakeholders through standards development, reviews, recommendations and continuous improvement. Provide expertise on Cameco’s project delivery processes, engineering governance, regulatory requirements, operations interfaces, and industry practices. Interface with Cameco’s external fire and life safety consultant(s). Required bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or a relevant field; a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in building code compliance and fire protection program implementation for heavy industrial projects; extensive knowledge in National Building Code of Canada (NBCC), National Fire Code of Canada (NFCC), and Provincial regulations and standards. Professional engineering or equivalent designation; and the ability to travel to various Cameco work locations. Recommended M.Sc. in Engineering or advanced certification/ training in fire protection and code compliance fre protection and code compliance review experience in the uranium mining industry or processing facilities; expertise in interpretation of CSA N393 – Fire protection for facilities that process, handle, or store nuclear substances. experience using various project management applications; and excellent communication and facilitation skills.
