Responsibility Summary The Global Supplier Quality Manager defines and executes the global supplier quality strategy, ensuring supplier capability, quality performance, and compliance support business objectives, customer expectations, and operational priorities. This role leads and develops a global team of Supplier Quality Engineers and owns the supplier quality framework across the full supplier lifecycle-from approval and qualification through performance management, development, and resolution of critical quality issues. Success requires strong technical leadership, global governance, disciplined execution, and measurable improvements in supplier quality and total cost of quality. What you will do? Develop and execute the global supplier quality strategy aligned with business objectives, customer expectations, and operational priorities. Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Sourcing Quality Engineers, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Establish organizational priorities, performance objectives, and talent development plans to build a high-performing global sourcing quality organization. Own the global supplier approval and qualification process from a quality standpoint, from governance through implementation. Develop and maintain standardized requirements, tools, and procedures for supplier qualification, audits, process validation, and ongoing approval. Ensure consistent execution of supplier qualification processes across all regions while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and company requirements. Establish global supplier quality performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor supplier capability and performance. Lead supplier development initiatives focused on improving quality, reducing risk, and strengthening supplier capabilities. Oversee escalation and resolution of critical supplier quality issues, ensuring robust root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce supplier-related defects, improve first-pass yield, and lower the total cost of quality. Drive consistency in supplier audits, qualification criteria, documentation, quality systems, and reporting across all regions. Partner with Global Supply Chain Operations teams, Engineering, and Key Accounts to influence sourcing decisions and ensure quality requirements are integrated throughout the supplier lifecycle. To succeed in this role, you will bring a proven track record in supplier development and improvement, supported by a strong command of quality assurance principles, supplier quality systems, supplier audits, and quality management systems. You will need deep knowledge of supplier qualification, risk management, and quality governance, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and convert requirements into practical supplier controls. Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills are essential. You should be effective in supplier relationship management and contract negotiations and comfortable leading global, cross-functional, and geographically dispersed technical teams. We believe you are structured, collaborative, and results-oriented, with the judgment to balance global consistency with regional realities. You must also be able to travel internationally approximately 25-40% of your time. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline is required. A recognized certification in quality management is also required. You should have 10+ years of progressive experience in Supplier Quality, Sourcing Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Engineering within a global manufacturing environment. Proven experience leading global, cross-functional, and geographically dispersed technical teams is required. Experience in a regulated industry is strongly preferred. You should demonstrate strong knowledge of supplier quality methodologies, qualification processes, audits, quality systems, risk management, root cause analysis, and sustainable corrective action. The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications is essential. Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required. The ability to travel internationally is also required. Candidates must have experience leading global technical teams, strong supplier quality and risk management expertise, the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, English communication skills, and availability for 25–40% international travel; regulated-industry experience is preferred.
