Role Description The Electrical Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Canada, responsible for overseeing electrical construction projects from initiation to completion. This role includes planning project scope, schedules, and budgets; coordinating underground and electrical installation activities; and managing resources, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Electrical Project Manager will review electrical designs and specifications, monitor progress, resolve technical and operational issues, and ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. Day-to-day tasks involve communicating with clients and stakeholders, preparing status reports, supporting site supervisors and field crews, and promoting a strong safety culture across all project phases. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge in electricity and practical experience in electrical contracting. Candidates should possess skills in electrical design and electrical engineering relevant to industrial, commercial, and underground electrical projects. Candidates should possess budgeting and cost control skills, including estimating, financial tracking, and project financial reporting. Relevant education such as a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience managing construction or electrical projects, ideally in underground utilities, street lighting, or similar environments. Knowledge of Canadian electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and multiple projects. Proficiency with project management tools and common office software; a valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
